WATERING OUR JOY SEEDS: Cultivating Everyday Happiness
Val’s compassionate and fun approach to our group sessions facilitated a safe, warm, and engaging space. We were initially strangers but by the end of the group we grew into a supportive community for each other. Val has an openness and flexibility that allowed our group to evolve and shape as her program progressed. We had shared a lot of laughs, visual meditations and engaged discussions. Valerie has a contagious positive spirit that lends to a unique experience. This course was low key and allowed the individual participants to make what they wanted of the experience. Valerie is able to lead a diverse group and put everyone at ease. I would recommend this course to anyone looking to deepen their understanding of their own happiness and open to exploring other levels of joy and fulfillment. I felt energized, renewed and more equipped to deal with life.
The meetings were a great opportunity to stop the world around me for an hour, and conduct a mental and physical check up. I'm sure that it was a very different experience for all the participants, yet I do believe that the positive intent was commonly shared. This alone created for me a unique and peaceful environment. Thanks to Valerie's exercises, I was able to to feel completely safe and free to enter a path of inner discovery at my own pace, with a gentle approach, or with a lot more intensity... up to me. The immediate benefits and the upcoming challenges that surfaced were quite astounding when I consider that the meditation was only one hour long. I would encourage anyone with or without meditation practice to give it a go and see where it leads.

Living Well: Body, Mind, Spirit
We rarely take the time to think about ourselves.Are we happy; what would we like to improve; how do we understand the decisions we have made; how do we more forward more thoughtfully, in peace and less agitated by things we have no control over? Valerie offers an opportunity for self exploration and growth. Although I could always find an excuse why I might not attend, I always did attend and left feeling better — calmer, with more understanding, with tools in my toolbox to move forward, with more direction and fortitude as the person I am, yet not always was. A worthwhile experience for those interested in exploring themselves more. You will leave sessions with something to contemplate — and perhaps move forward with the strength and the angst for either change or perseverance to do and be what is important for you!
Valerie was an excellent adviser in self evaluation, her program enabled me to have a better understanding of who I am and how to deal with the stresses in my life. Sharing with a group was also motivating, we learned from Valerie but also from each other. This group enabled me to become more aware of what I needed to do to create wellness in my life. Thank you Val, it was a pleasure and a great learning experience.
Life before attending the Wellness Group was so much different for me than it is today.
